Dr. Sean Fogler is the co-founder and CEO of Pratect, a company using blockchain technology to secure the prescription supply chain—improving safety, transparency, security, and efficiency. Sean brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field working as a physician in both large institutions and smaller practices. His experience working with patients, administrators, insurance companies, and utilization review organizations gives him a broad view of the risks and inefficiencies that exist in the current healthcare system.
Sean’s role at Pratect involves strategy, building relationships, and using his industry knowledge to help build a better system for prescribing, dispensing, and managing prescriptions.
Since 2015 Sean has worked with RIWI Corp, a global survey and predictive analytics firm as an Adjunct Health Policy Scholar and Business Development Consultant specializing in global public health. His work with RIWI has led to the recent publication of two journal articles, one in the Journal of Preventive Medicine and Care, and the second in Suicidology.
Sean has a keen interest in mental health and addiction. He is an advocate and mentor to those that struggle, and writes regularly about his experiences; to educate, inform, and reduce the shame and stigma that persist in American culture.
Prior to beginning specialized training in Anesthesia, Dr. Fogler worked for two years as a professional equity trader and market maker at a boutique firm in New York. He has been an angel investor and has helped start-ups raise capital and connect with unique high quality investors. Sean is currently working with Dermpod a company using artificial intelligence to revolutionize the way we diagnose skin conditions.
Sean holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Toronto, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Anesthesiology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
